What demo / video did this Animal Crossing 3DS image come from?! (RESOLVED / UPDATED)

When I noticed this image somewhere on the Internet last week, I was puzzled because I do not remember seeing it before. Afterwards, I began searching through all demos / videos and images all the way back from when Animal Crossing 3DS was announced, and I found no origin of this photo. To be honest, I was lucky enough to find it just now to make a post about it! At the least, it's a nice image, but if you know where this image came from, please let us know on our Twitter @ACForest or @Anthony_Vaughn_. Thank you in advance!

Update: Thanks to the anonymous user that commented on this image, I now know that this is an image from the Animal Crossing 3DS preview from Official Nintendo Magazine's January 2012 issue (I should have known). Well, I'll leave the post here for now because either way, it is a nice photo and may remain a mystery for some other people. And, by the way, the post below (containing loads of Animal Crossing 3DS news) is from that same Official Nintendo Magazine issue that has the image above (once again, go figure). Well, at least we (I) know now!

Semi-Old News: New / confirmed Animal Crossing 3DS information!

Back in January, new / confirmed Animal Crossing 3DS information was announced, stating quite a bit of what to expect in the upcoming title. Below is an organized list of some of the many features Animal Crossing 3DS will end up with:

>You can add benches, street lamps, and other town decorations to make your villagers satisfied.

>You are given a secretary that will help you out, is new to the series, described as "clumsy", speaking with her may be one of the game's highlights, and will give you town reports.

>You can design every aspect of your house from the exterior (roof, walls, mailbox, fence), along with the customizable interior (purchasing wallpapers, flooring, furniture, and furniture can still be placed / arranged).

>You can take your furniture to a special upholsterer shop where you can have your furniture customized / designed with different patterns and designs, some furniture allowing unlimited customization.

>Now there are separate top and bottom parts of your outfits (can change shirts or shorts / pants individually).

>The village's layout is much larger than before, with many separate sections spread about.

>The beach is much larger, allowing you to walk down a cliff-side path rather than a small sand strip.

>Can walk barefooted around the beach / sand, can swim in the ocean.

>Mystery island spotted across the ocean (along with some other islands here and there).

>Beyond the railroad is the mall, tons of shops, and model homes that are empty unless acquired by passing others who own Animal Crossing 3DS via the StreetPass feature built-in to the Nintendo 3DS. While the model homes are empty, you can get ideas on how you'd like to customize your home (exterior-wise).

>Tom Nook is in charge of the model homes (after all, his new job is real estate).

So, there you have it. For now, this is all we have until more information is revealed!

Semi-Old News: Nintendo reconfirms 2012 release for Animal Crossing 3DS!

Back in January, Nintendo had reconfirmed that the long-awaited Animal Crossing 3DS will be released this 2012 year, but no actual release dates or windows were given. Many believe that the final name and release date will be shown at this year's E3 event in June, which is very probable. We'll have to just wait and see!

No more AC:CF / LGttC 2012 DLC announcements unless unexpected changes occur.

With the recent release of the Japanese Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go to the City 2012 DLC website (see post below), we see no reason to continue posting entries regarding, as the DLC items and images are pretty self-explanatory, and with some of our major changes that we are currently active in, we're trying to create noteworthy entries rather than everything that flows in. But, with that being said, if a DLC item that is shown on the Japanese website is NOT distributed in other countries, or is replaced by something else, we WILL make a post for that. And with all of this being said, we will still announce all of the DLC along with their images accordingly on our Twitter account @ACForest.

All 2012 DLC for Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go to the City revealed for Japan (and most-likely other regions).

It would seem that all of the DLC planned for Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go to the City has been revealed from Japan's Nintendo website, and so far, DLC distributed to regions outside of Japan have matched the Japanese DLC website, so we're quite positive that we will receive all of these DLC items as well. This isn't a major announcement, but we just wanted to show everyone this! You can visit the Animal Crossing Japanese 2012 DLC website below!
